PRACTICE APPOINTMENT SYSTEM

All Telephone Calls are recorded for training and monitoring purposes. The practice has introduced a new appointment system (1st July 2011) which aims to improve access to the Doctors and Nurse Practitioner.

The practice is adopting the Stour Access System. This innovative system is backed by the NHS Institute for Innovation and Improvement.

Appointments with a doctor/nurse practitioner can be made by telephoning the surgery. You will be asked for a contact number for the doctor/nurse practitioner to call you back at a time that is convenient to you. After a brief discussion the doctor/nurse practitioner will, if necessary, arrange a suitable time with you for an appointment. On many occasions you may not need to come for an appointment as your problem may be dealt with by telephone, saving you time. Although patients are usually seen on the same day, it is advisable to telephone a day or two before you actually need an appointment.

Appointments with a Practice Nurse or the Health Care Assistant can be made by telephoning reception.

LATE APPOINTMENTS

We offer late appointments for patients who are unable to attend during day time hours. This session is every Wednesday evening at Dipton between 6pm – 7.15pm by appointment.

CANCELLATION OF APPOINTMENTS

If you don't need your appointment please cancel it.
